How to use Add Page Numbers to PDF

Worked example

Number the body after a cover

Use range 2-12, start 1 and bottom centre.

Result: Source page 2 displays 1 and source page 12 displays 11; the cover is unchanged.

Increase the margin or switch placement; content is not reflowed.

Set source page range separately from the starting number.
